Western Mass Emergency Ultrasound
Credentialing Information

The credentialing program has been designed with the goal of having all providers credentialed in point-of-care ultrasound.
Most of you will be on a two-year program, split into blocks, with each block focusing on a specific set of exams. The goal is for you to have completed the credentialing numbers for that block's focus by the end of the block.

For credentialing, you must complete 25 of each type of exam:
FAST
Aorta
Renal
Biliary
Transabdominal pelvic
Transvaginal pelvic
Echo
Thoracic
DVT
Peripheral IV placement
Central IV placement

You will have dedicated scanning sessions scheduled with your credentialing instructor, and the remainder of the scans you will perform on your own and submit for review and QA. These are available on the Ultrasound calendar (see link on prior page). I have also provided my Wing schedule so if you want to come by while I'm working and ultrasound my patients with me, you're welcome to.
